DRAW YOUR OWN COMIC STRIP

“I loved the class so much that I plan on taking it again. It was like a crash course in philosophy, art and rhetoric all wrapped up into one.”
- Jared C (student)
Here are some of the instructional materials for a community education class I teach at Eastern Idaho Technical College. You can click on a thumbnail to see the full version of the slides I use for week four’s lesson.

I used the skills I gained during my instructional design coursework to create the curriculum. I found creating performance objectives and conducting a summative evaluation to be especially helpful. The class only meets once a week, so I've created class blog where students post their homework and give and receive feedback between class sessions.

Below are the rest of the instructional materials and handouts we discuss in this week’s lesson:
Behind the Scenes - FoxTrot
Behind the Scenes - My Life Comics
Bill Amend's Comics 101
