I taught this workshop at Eastern Idaho Technical College. My extensive essay-writing experience as an undergrad English major helped me do a thorough instructional analysis. The workshop featured plenty of learner participation to help the students internalize the instruction. After the workshop, students said they learned a lot and felt better equipped to tackle future essay assignments.
